RESULTS FROM THE 2022 NATIONAL GOLDEN GLOVES TOURNAMENT!

The 2022 National Golden Gloves tournament began on Monday, August 15th at 6 pm CST in Tulsa, Oklahoma and went throughout the week. We kept this page updated with the progress of the Upper Midwest Golden Gloves team and also check out the official Golden Gloves page HERE for stream info and more. As usual, the team fought hard and showed well. 165 pounder Jerred Bradford made the most of his first trip to nationals, taking bronze. Results are below.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 19, 2022

Jerred Bradford UMGG lost a decision to Donte Layne, NY in a Semifinals 165 pound bout.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 2022

Asiya Mohamed UMGG vs. Karla Hall of Nevada won by 5-0 decision over Asiya Mohamed of UMGG.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2022

Jerred Bradford of UMGG defeated Josiah Shackleford of Detroit by 5-0 decision in a 165 pounds bout. This was Bradford’s third preliminary bout of the tournament. Bradford of Lyke’s Gym has won by decision, referee stoppage and decision so far in the tournament.
