ZARZAR STOPS PIERRE IN WYOMING

Mengistu “The Dynamic Warrior” Zarzar turned in what he calls a career best performance last night while stopping Patrick Pierre at the Red Lion Conference Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Zarzar of Brooklyn Park, MN/Atlanta, Georgia dropped Pierre twice before getting the stoppage win in round one.

“Boxing” Bob Newman was ringside for the action and said Zarzar came out like a man possessed and completely blew away Patrick Pierre in a light heavyweight “contest,” which was anything but. After two crushing knockdowns, referee Tim Mills halted matters at 1:54 of the opening stanza. Zarzar moves to 8-7-1, 7 KOs. Pierre slides to 3-15, 1 KO, after this, his tenth consecutive loss, seventh via stoppage.

“The Dynamic Warrior”, who weighed in two nights ago at 172.8 says he will return to the ring this June, fighting in either Atlanta or Kentucky.
