Undefeated middleweight Janibek “Qazaq Style” Alimkhanuly (now 10-0) stopped Robert “Bravo” Brant (now 26-3) at the conclusion of round 8 on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a tough night for the Brant throughout as the southpaw Alimkhanuly controlled the action with hard jabs, heavy lefts to the head and body shots. Brant appeared hesitant to trade on the inside because of the power of his opponent but also did not throw his normal high volume of punches which left Alimkhanuly little to be concerned with.

Brant was put down to a knee to begin round six by a straight left hand. The power of Alimkhanuly continued to keep Brant from going inside and he was target practice on the outside. Brant made it through round six and continued into round seven purely on heart, refusing to quit, but there was concern in his corner. Brant came out punching to begin the seventh for the first time in the fight and landed some decent shots. The success was short lived however and by the end of the round Brant was backpedaling and eating hard lefts. Brant’s corner stopped the fight after round eight concluded awarding Alimkhanuly with an impressive TKO victory.
