LEO MEDEL AND GAVINO GUAMAN SET FOR IOWA FIGHTS TONIGHT

Undefeated Leo Medel (7-0, 5 KO’s) of Apple Valley, MN and all action Minnesota Gavino Guaman (6-6-1, 2 KO’s) are weighed-in and ready to roll tonight in Des Moines, Iowa. Medel, 31, says he scaled in at 153.5 pounds to face Missouri’s Brandon Baue (17-34, 11 KO’s) who weighed 154 for the jr. middleweight bout. Guaman weighed 132.5 pounds while Lavelle Wilson (1-15) was significantly heavier at 141 pounds for the four round bout. Medel has another bout set for December 9, 2023 if all goes as planned for him tonight against tough journeyman Baue who has faced four Minnesota boxers already in his career including Cerresso Fort, Celso Ramirez, Tony Woods, and Danny Huffman.

“I’m hoping this fight goes well and I come out clean without any cuts or injuries” said Medel. “I’m trying to finish it inside the distance”.

Medel says that he is not looking past this fight and knows Baue is tough but confirmed the December 9th card at Element would also feature his teammates at CMB Boxing Arath Bautista who makes his pro debut as well as Mike Demps.
