MN Jr. Welterweight champ Rondale “Give Em Hell” Hubbert (10-3-1, 6 KO’s) will box Mike “Yes Indeed” Reed (16-0, 9 KO’s) of Maryland tomorrow night at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reed is a former 2011 National Golden Gloves champion (Read more on the southpaw Reed here). Hubbert will be stepping in again on only a few days notice as Reed’s original opponent fell out.

” His opponent fell out and they called and I accepted” said Hubbert when asked for details. “It’s just the fighter in me I guess. I can’t turn down a fight.  “I never back down from a good scrap. I just feel like it’s a good opportunity to be seen and show people what I can do. The fact that my last couple fights have been short notice and I still show up to fight and give it my all says a lot about me. I told myself I wouldn’t take anymore short notice fights but here I am again. I just feel like my time will come and one of these undefeated fighters are gonna bite off more then they can chew. I feel strong and mean right now and I’m going to bring the fight right to him from the opening bell.”

Hubbert showed extremely well for himself last month in Las Vegas in a short notice fight, losing by hard fought decision to another undefeated prospect named Ladarius Miller.

The Top Rank Promoted/HBO televised show is headlined by Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley Jr. and former world champion Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios, who have met twice in the past and earned Fights of the Year in 2013 and 2012 in those meetings.

You can watch today’s weigh-in’s live at 5pm our time at www.toprank.tv. There is a strong chance that his bout along with the rest of the off TV fights will be aired at the same web address tomorrow night as well.
