(IBF super middleweight title)

IBF super middleweight world champion “Golden” Caleb Truax will defend his title tonight against former champion James DeGale in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rematch will be shown live on Showtime with the broadcast beginning at 9 PM Central time. Truax was a huge underdog in the first fight and most betting sites have DeGale a 5-1 favorite in the rematch. Truax says he is going to prove doubters wrong and bring the title back to Minnesota.

Caleb Truax: “I thought I did a good job last time and beat him pretty convincingly. But from what I saw, I’m a 6-1 underdog so a lot of people are going to make some money betting off me! There are some things that I could have done better the first time and there are things he could have done better. I’m going to be prepared for both. I just want to go out there and silence people who said it was a fluke the first time I won. I want to prove that I belong at the top of the division. I’m going to put on a good show for the fans and retain my title.”

James DeGale: “My last performance was horrendous. It was shocking and embarrassing. I’m not going to make excuses about my shoulder and what went wrong. On Saturday night, I will be a two-time world champion. I promise you that.”
