TOP MIDWEST BOXERS MEET AT RICE STREET OLD SCHOOL GYM SHOW THIS SATURDAY!
Top amateur boxers from Minnesota and Wisconsin will meet this Saturday, October 23, 2021 at The Rice Street Old School Boxing Gym’s Golden Gloves amateur show fundraiser. Competing in the main event which takes place at the Gethsemane Church in Maplewood, MN will be Rice Street’s Ben Pelzer and Wisconsin’s Ricky Ruiz in a 165 pound bout. There are currently 19 bouts listed but a few are expected to fall through as tomorrow approaches.
The Rice Street Rocker Mike Evgen of the Rice Street Old School Boxing Gym says this is the first boxing show fundraiser the gym has put on in it’s two years and expects a great crowd tomorrow afternoon. Matchmaker Bobby Brunette did a fantastic job of matching talented boxers from both states. Saturday’s show is set to kick off at 3 PM CST. Tickets can be purchased at the door. The venue hosting this Golden Gloves event is located at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 2410 Stillwater Rd E. Maplewood, MN, 55119.
