ST. CLOUD, MN – The gloves are laced, and the fighters are ready. Tomorrow, April 5, the St. Cloud Armory will host the Spring Fling Boxing Show, a USA Boxing-sanctioned event that promises an afternoon of intense amateur action. Doors open at 1 p.m., and the first bout is set to begin at 2 p.m. Admission is $15 at the door.

This event, presented by St. Cloud Golden Gloves Boxing, will not only showcase some of Minnesota’s rising talent over 17 matches but will also serve as a key stepping stone for boxers preparing for the Upper Midwest Golden Gloves Championships, scheduled for April 18-19 at The Park Event Center in St. Cloud.

Box-Off Battles for Golden Gloves Berths

A highlight of the night will be more Upper Midwest Golden Gloves box-offs, where boxers  will square off to punch their ticket to the  championships.

The scheduled matchups include:

Cameron Gacheru (Unattached) vs. Lucas Nogle (Rice St. Old School) – 176 lbs

Daniel Saucedo (Padilla’s) vs. Brendan Wind (Top Team) – 187 lbs

Nathan Carter (Golden Tiger) vs. Ojem Omot (SCGG) – 143 lbs

These boxers are set to leave it all in the ring, knowing that a win means a shot at Golden Gloves glory in just two weeks.
