RONDALE HUBBERT MAKES WEIGHT IN PHILLY FOR GREG OUTLAW SHOWDOWN ON SATURDAY NIGHT

Rondale Hubbert weighs in at 140.8 pounds on Friday, March 29, 2024 in Philadelphia for his bout against Greg Outlaw

Rondale “Give Um Hell” Hubbert (16-28-3, 10 KO’s) now of Duluth, MN will square off with Greg Outlaw (13-2, 7 KO’s) of Bowie, MD in an 8 round main event this Saturday March 30, 2024. Both boxers made weight on Friday night but not without confusion. Hubbert says that his contract stated a weight of 140 pounds, which he made while Outlaw’s contract stated a weight of 144 pounds. Technically, both fighters did make the weight on the contract. Rodney Rice of RDR Promotions stepped in and paid Hubbert a little extra cash for the mix up which was nice and the bout will go on. Hubberts official weight was 140.8 pounds while Outlaw weighed 143.7 pounds. The main event as well as undercard matches will be streamed live on BXNG.TV

Both Hubbert and Outlaw (will be 6 for Hubbert and 2 for Outlaw) have boxed in front of Philadelphia fans and Hubbert picked up a good number of followers after losing a controversial decision to undefeated Las Vegas boxer Devon Lee last January. The Minnesotan is also looking to capitalize on a knockout victory in February versus Marklin Bailey in South Carolina. Hubbert stands at 5’9” and will be spotting Outlaw, 5’11”, the weight as well as a few inches in height which he is not worried about.

“I’ve been fighting these types of guys for the last couple of months. So I know how to fight his body style. I know how to fight that type of guy. He’s going to want to box and move and use the ring and use his jab. And his straight right. You know, I just have to cut the ring off and do what I’ve got to do.

“I think it’s a good opportunity. No matter if he is a little bit bigger or whatever, I don’t think he is ready for me in shape.”

“I fell back in love with it (boxing) so I know what I can do and it’s just time to start doing what I was supposed to be doing. And I don’t have much left in me. So these last couple of fights I’m putting 110 percent in every camp. Eating right, just living better, making better decisions. And yeah, it’s made me a better fighter again.”
