Rondale Hubbert (now 16-27-3, 10 KO’s) of Minneapolis, MN knocked out Marklin Bailey (now 9-14, 5 KO’s) of Durham, North Carolina on Friday night at the John T Rhodes Sports Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The opening two rounds were closely contested with Hubbert landing hard jabs and counters while Bailey found a home for his right hand. Hubbert remained composed in round three, dodged a wild left hook from Bailey and landed a crushing right to the head that stunned his opponent. Hubbert followed up with more shots before dropping Bailey with another head shot. The referee immediately waived the fight off at 1:11 of round three with Bailey hurt on the canvas.

It’s a big win for Hubbert who got back on track as both skilled journeyman came to win. Both men have chosen to face almost exclusively prospects on the road and are better than their records reflect.

Aaron Freeman of Biggtime Boxing Promotions and Christy Martin Promotions presented the action. Triller TV by FITE provided the great stream. Starr Roberts Jr. cornered Hubbert who boxed in Minnesota Timberwolves blue and neon green.
