MARK NELSON STOPS TITLE BOUT IN ROUND 7 FRIDAY NIGHT IN ARIZONA

Two-weight world champion Oscar Valdez (32-2, 23 KO’s) stopped Liam Wilson (13-3, 7 KO’s) in a WBO interim junior lightweight title fight on Friday night in Glendale, Arizona. Valdez opened up with a barrage of punches in round 7 where Minnesota referee Mark Nelson stopped the fight at 2:48.

Nelson also refereed a super lightweight bout between Lindolfo Delgado (19-0) and Carlos Sanchez (25-2) and a middleweight bout between Sergio Leon Rodriguez (10-0-1) and Sanny Duversonne (12-6-2). The show was televised on ESPN+.
