Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Ve Shawn Owens (now 13-2, 12 KO’s) stopped Michael Ogundo (16-13, 13 KO’s) at 2:51 of round four on Sunday night at the Minneapolis The Armory. Owens was the final bout of the night.

Bout 1: Michael Angeletti stopped Alexis Salido by TKO in round three.

Bout 2: Travon Marshall stopped Maycon De Silva at 1:03 of rd 2.
Bout 3: Justin Cardona outworked Jomar Robles over 6 rounds of action. Scores read 60-54.
Bout 4: Kyrone Davis vs. Martez McGregor

Good back and forth bout with Davis the busier, more accurate and harder puncher through four rounds. Mcgregor had his moments but was not connecting with the same type of round winning shots as Davis. Mcgregor came to life and had a nice fifth round with big clean punches but Davis was right there. Mcgregor deducted two points in round six for throwing an elbow after a punch follow through. Another point deducted for hitting on the break in round seven. Mcgregor seems to be fighting distracted, talking to his opponent and the crowd.
In the end, all three judges scored the fight for Davis 95-94, and 77-72 twice.

Bout 5: Armando Resendiz vs. Marcos Hernandez

Hernandez credited with a flash knockdown in round two. Both fighters trading in the center of the ring through three rounds. Good fight with Hernandez landing slightly better through six although the round was a good one for Resendiz. Round 8 was another fun round with Resendiz getting more aggressive and he kept that up until the final bell finishing strong. Hernandez was accurate and landed the overall harder shots. Good competitive fight. The judges saw the fight in favor of 97-92, 96-93 twice for Hernandez.

Bout 6: Starling Castillo vs. Juan Burgos

The southpaw Castillo spent the early action beating Burgos to the punch. Then vet Burgos continues to press forward with digging punches for his part. Castillo boxed on his toes while landing good combinations to stay head of Burgos through the sixth round. It was a spirited effort from box boxers down the stretch as the crowd cheered the heated action. Burgos buzzed Castillo and rather than play it safe, Castillo went to war until the bell. Final scores read 96-94, 97-93, 98-92 in favor of Castillo.

Bout 7: Jesus Ramos vs. Brian Mendoza

Bout 7: Jesus Ramos vs. Brian Mendoza
Ramos won the early action going forward out of the southpaw stance. His punches lacked KO power but they were effective. Mendoza began the fight busy but slowed as the fight went into the fifth. Ramos began to open up with heavier crowd pleasing shots in round 8 battering Mendoza on the ropes. Ramos continued to cruise to victory by scores of 98-92 on all cards.
