LIVE BOXING, KICKBOXING WRESTLING, JIU JITSU BACK IN MN TODAY
Valhalla Combat continues to lead the way for the return of live Minnesota combat sports as the state works past Covid rules which have brought all competition to a hault. An all afternoon/evening of fights is set to take place as “Valentine’s Day Massacre” hits the Mermaid in Mounds View, MN.
The action kicks off at Noon to 1 pm with ten wrestling matches followed by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from 1 pm to 2 pm. Afterward, amateur boxing begins from 2:30 pm to 4 pm and finally kickboxing at 4 pm. To watch all of the action live the price is $60 with one event being $40. Promoter James Clark of Valhalla is excited to bring the live fights to The Mermaid. Clark recently started a new amateur boxing association so these bouts will not be done through USA Boxing. This will be the second amateur boxing event promoted by Valhalla.
Clark says one boxing match that stands out is a match up between Taylor Johnson vs Macen Joos. ” Both guys are a biscuit over 300 pounds” said Clark! “EJ Rowan who has a lot of fighting experience, 12 mma fights, two kick boxing fights, plus two boxing matches vs Matthias Joyce who is 2-0 in boxing” Clark continued. “Then the main event of the boxing portion is heavy weights Matt Brekke vs Brian Oseth.
