FROM TAJIKSTAN TO JAPAN FOR REFEREE MARK NELSON

Saint Paul, Minnesota’s Mark Nelson is in Japan preparing to referee Saturday’s WBA Bantamweight main event title fight between Takuma Inoue (18-1) and Jerwin Ancajas. Nelson became the first American to work in Tajikstan last weekend and returned home for 48 hours before departing for Tokyo. The Inoue-Ancajas bout will be shown live on ESPN+ (early Saturday morning approximately 6 AM CST) as Japan is 15 hours ahead of Minnesota. Nelson says that he has stayed busy in Japan attending the final press conference and yesterday’s weigh-ins.
