DAVID MORRELL JR DEFENDS WBA TITLE AGAINST AGBEKO ON PPV UNDERCARD APRL 22

Minneapolis based WBA regular world champion David Morrell Jr. (8-0, 7 KO’s) is set to defend his super middleweight title on April 22, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada against Sena Agbeko (27-2, 21 KO’s) on the undercard of Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas on April 22. Morrell versus Agbeko will be the co-main event of the night.

The pay-per-view telecast also features a rematch between super middleweight “King” Gabriel Rosado (26-16, 15 KOs’) and “Bully” Bektemir Melikuziev (11-1, 9 KO’s) in a 10 round middleweight bout. The opening televised fight showcases 19-year-old middleweight Elijah Garcia (14-0, 12 KO’s) facing Kevin Salgado (15-1-1, 10 KOs’) in a 10-rounder.

Morrell has done most of his demolishion work inside the Minneapolis armory boxing ring so far as a professional and is ready to step into the Las Vegas light for the first time. Agbeko has an impressive record but has not faced anyone in Morrell’s class to date.

The Cuban star Morrell plans to use this opportunity to secure a showdown with an elite opponent if he can get past Agbeko on April 22. Morrell says his next target will be WBC interim champion David Benavidez as he feels that is the fight fans want to see!
