BOXING: Watson-Dancing Bull Fight To Draw In Wisconsin

Heavyweights Ryan Watson (3-1-2, 2 KO’s) of Duluth, MN, and James “Dancing Bull” Jackson (4-0-1, 2 KO’s) of North Dakota fought to a 4 round majority draw on Saturday, June 22nd at the Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino in Wittenberg, Wisconsin. Both fighters had their moments and it was a good battle for the fans. Scores read 38-38, 38-38, and 40-36 for Watson.

Watson said afterward that he wanted a six-round fight and that he is hoping to get that if he and Jackson meet to settle things on August 9th at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, MN. Watson is scheduled to fight as one of the supporting bouts to Rondale Hubbert vs. DeLorien Caraway (See the card here).

In the main event, Frankie Lopez (12-1, 9 KO’s) of California won a majority decision over Wisconsin’s Marcus Oliveira (26-5-1, 21 KO’s) in a cruiserweight bout. It was another action packed and a good fight with Lopez’ movement and work rate being the deciding factor.
