BOXING: RONDALE HUBBERT BACK IN ACTION TONIGHT

UPDATE: Minnesota’s Rondale Hubbert lost by TKO in round two after suffering a busted eardrum.

Rondale “Give Em Hell” Hubbert (13-12-2, 8 KO’s) is wasting no time getting back to action after boxing less than a month ago in Hinckley, MN. Hubbert takes on undefeated Rolando Vargas (4-0, 4 KO’s) of Milwaukee, WI tonight in Hammond, Indiana.

Hubbert isn’t letting the questionable decision loss last month against Jose Jacobo (8-1) in Hinckley affect him. Despite landing the far more powerful and damaging shots, the judges felt Jacobo’s jab was enough to give him the victory. Hubbert acknowledges that it was a good fight but sides with the fans (and this website) in believing he earned the victory.

“It was a good fight” said Hubbert. He was tough and took some big shots. I’m always honest about my losses. I take them like a man but I don’t know anybody that watched the fight that believe he won. Now I see that no matter where I go to fight and even at home that my record will over shadow my talent. I’ve fought the best and will continue to fight the best and grow as a fighter win or lose. Hopefully I’ll be able to pass this knowledge onto someone else someday. I would love a rematch with Jacobo but I know that wont happen.”

Hubbert continued, discussing tonight’s fight and opponent Rolando Vargas. “He’s young, not much experience but he has talent. His guy fell out so I stepped in. I’m going to keep chasing that upset win. I’m in a better place in life so I’m always staying ready and I feel like I accomplished my mission last time out. I don’t care about what the outcome was because in my heart, I know I won and I showed this old dog still has so much fight left in him. It’s four round. I’m glad to be apart of a stacked card featuring twelve women fighters. I’ve never seen that before so its nice to see women step up and all put it on the line. Three world title fights, one night in one ring.”

Hubbert says that the fights will be streamed live at www.lrplive.tv for $24.99. He will be the first fight of the night at 5:30 PM. We will keep you updated.
