BOXING: RONDALE HUBBERT MEETS CLARENCE BOOTH TONIGHT IN FLORIDA

32 year-old Rondale “Give Em Hell” Hubbert (13-14-2, 8 KOs) of Minneapolis, MN will battle “Mr. St. Pete” Clarence Booth (17-4, 9 KO’s) of Saint Petersburg, Florida tonight during a Hall of Fame weekend of boxing at the St. Petersburg Marriot Clearwater in Florida. T & K Boxing Promotions in association with Dibella Entertainment present the action. The super lightweight co-featured bout is scheduled for 6 rounds.

Hubbert stayed relatively active this past year despite the global wide pandemic having shut down most boxing. Tonight will be his fourth fight since last January. A major difference this time around is that Hubbert feels like he had ample time to prepare which was not a luxury he had in the other bouts. Hubbert now lives in Duluth and wrapped up a successful training camp at Jungle Boy Boxing Gym.

“This fight is different because I had about seven weeks to prepare” said Hubbert. “I’m in a better place in life. I just got engaged and I’m starting a new job next week. I’ve been training at Jungle Boy with Zack Walters, they’ve been a big part of my camp. Great sparring and a good environment, it’s nice to be a part of the team.”

Hubbert simply never takes an easy fight and tonight will be no different. The combined record of his opponents over the past two years is 95 wins and 11 losses. Clarence Booth is well known in Florida. The crowd will only be allowed to fill up to half capacity but expect Hubbert to once again enter a hostile “hometown” arena in favor of his opponent.

“I know he (Booth) has a big following and is a strong, solid guy. He’s been out the game for a minute so he’s looking to make a comeback and I’m looking to break a losing streak so I expect a hard fight. We both want this one bad! I just want to say thdank you to everyone that stood by me throughout the years for the ups an downs (wins and losses). I appreciate you guys.”

The card will be streamed live for $20 HERE. You can also watch the show on tape delay tomorrow night (11.7.20) on Impact Network.
