JAMAL JAMES BACK AT ARMORY PLUS OWENS AND RAMIREZ

#3 WBA rated welterweight Jamal “Shango” James will headline at the Armory on Saturday, July 13, 2019. James will be back on FS1 against an opponent to be named. James’ teammates Ve Shawn Owens and Celso Ramirez are rumored to be on the show as well. More details on this show to come.

TRUAX TARGETS QUILLIN REMATCH AND WILL HAVE BEER NAMED AFTER HIM

Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Truax says that he hopes a rematch with Peter Quillin is up next. Truax and Quillin’s April 13th fight ended in a no-decision after a clash of heads caused a bad cut over the Minnesotan’s right eye. He and his team are waiting on word from the IBF to see what is next. Meanwhile, Truax has signed an agreement to collaborate with Lupulin Brewing in coming up with an IPA named after him.

VICENTE ALFARO GOES DISTANCE WITH O’QUINN

Minnesota State Jr. Featherweight champion Vicente Alfaro Martinez (9-5, 3 KO’s) lost an 8-round unanimous decision to Ja’Rico O’Quinn (12-0, 8 KOs) on Saturday, April 13th in New Jersey. Scores read 80-72 on all three judges scorecards. The full fight can be seen HERE
