"UNFINISHED BUSINESS" APRIL 18TH BOXING PREVIEW

This Saturday, April 18th, the Target Center in Minneapolis will play host to the much-anticipated returns of middleweight Matt "The Predator" Vanda (39-9, 22 KO's) and world title challenger Jason "The American Boy" Litzau (23-2, 19 KO's). Fans can also see the grudge match between Allen "The American Boy" Litzau (13-3, 7 KO's) and Wilton "Pretty Warrior" Hilario's (10-0-1, 8 KO's).

In the co-main event, Vanda is looking to get back in the win column after recent losses to undefeated John Duddy and Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. He will be taking on the "Bismarck Bomber" Tocker Pudwill (40-6, 14 KO's).
"I have been in the ring with a lot of good fighters so I'm not too worried. I hear Tocker is a tough dude, it should be a hell of a fight," said Vanda.

Pudwill has fought in two world title bouts coming up short against future hall-of-famer Joe Calzaghe and former world champion Sven Ottke. He holds a 2001 decision win over Anthony Bonsante via decision in 2001.
"I'm very familiar with Vanda. He is a good fighter and has a lot of fans in Minnesota. But I'm looking at this fight as an opportunity to springboard myself to something big," Pudwill said. "I want to fight for one more title before I retire. I think this is the perfect opportunity for me to do that."

This will only be Pudwill's third fight in seven years and his first fight since 2007.

In his first fight since losing to world champion Robert "the Ghost" Guerrero, Jason Litzau will be taking on Philip Payne (16-22-1, 8 KO's). Litzau, coming off a one-year layoff, says he'll be a slightly different fighter going forward.

"In the beginning, I just wanted to entertain. But I am going to make a career out of this," said J. Litzau. "You are still going to have all the excitement you get with me, but now you are going to see a smarter fighter in the ring."

The J. Litzau versus Payne fight will be at super featherweight (130 pounds). However, Litzau says he plans to campaign at featherweight (126 pounds) for future fights, where he hopes to earn another title shot.

In a grudge match that was years in the making, Allen Litzau and Wilton Hilario will finally battle for bragging rights with the winner taking home the IBA Super Featherweight America's Belt. The two fighters have been verbally sparring for the past few years and both fighters promise to use the other as a stepping stone to bigger opportunities.

In other action, undefeated middleweight Cerresso Fort (5-0, 5 KO's) takes on Bobby Kliewer (9-7-2, 4 KO's) in what is probably the biggest test of his young career. Also Jon Laboda (4-0, 3 KO's) takes on Patrick Cape (5-4, 3 KO's) in a four round, junior middleweight fight. Welterweight Donny Tierney makes his pro debut against David Duncan (0-1). 31 year old knockout artist Phil "The Drill" Williams (10-1, 9 KO's) is also scheduled to appear. Williams was set to face New York's Reggie La Crete (4-0-2, 3 KO's) until La Crete was forced out due to injury recently. An opponent is currently being sought for Williams.
