Kenny Kost (14-3, 6 ko's) of White Bear Lake, MN won by disqualification over Jorge Alberto Gonzalez (5-3) of Chicago, IL Saturday night at the Myth Nightclub in Maplewood, MN. Gonzalez's mouth piece came out four times in the final two rounds and referee Bobby Brunette disqualified Gonzales later in the sixth and final round for excessively losing the piece. The unfortunate ending came as both fighters had thrown all boxing out the window and took turns trading power shots.

Kost controlled the early rounds by constantly pressing Gonzalez. Gonzalez showed an advantage in hand speed but chose to only counter with quick stinging jabs for the most part. Kost also went to the body early which would pay off in the later rounds.

Kost unleashed heavy shots to the head of Gonzalez in the third round as he looked to make the fight a war. Gonzalez was happy to trade, and that is when the fight turned from a chess match to a brawl.

The brawling continued in the fifth as neither fighter showed respect for the others power. Gonzalez's mouth piece fell out for the first time in the bout midway into the round but rather then stop, Gonzalez opened up with his best punches of the fight, stunning Kost along the ropes with hard hooks to the head. Kost put both hands down inviting Gonzalez in for more and then proceeded to punch himself in the face with both fists to say he was not hurt. Action was stopped to put the mouth piece back in and shortly after the brawling continued. Both fighters exchange big right hooks to the others chin. Kost's blow seemed to land cleaner and Gonzalez's mouth piece came out once again nearing the end of the round. Despite the final moments, It was a very good round for the Purerto Rican born Gonzalez.

With the fight seemingly close, both fighters jabbed and boxed early to start the sixth. The boxing was short lived however when Gonzalez landed two big right hands to the head of the local favorite. Kost fired back and the action picked up once again. Shortly after, both men exchanged and Gonzalez seemed to let his mouth piece fall out clearly this time and referee Bobby Brunette took a point away.
With the fight approaching it's last leg, both Kost and Gonzalez went for broke. As both fighters traded, Kost landed a quick upper cut to the body and a right hook to the head of Gonzalez. It was unclear if Gonzalez went down from exhaustion and/or the punch or if he spit his mouth piece out and immediately went down to retrieve it but either way, Gonzalez ended up on his knees fumbling for the mouth piece on the floor. Referee Bobby Brunette stepped in and waived the fight off, disqualifying the Illinois fighter for excessively losing his mouth piece with about a minute to go in the bout. Brunette would later say that there was no knockdown and that Gonzalez went to the floor to retrieve the mouth piece he had deliberately let fall out. Gonzalez could be seen screaming that it came out from a punch. And Kost later gave Gonzalez credit for being a very tough fighter but claimed Gonzalez was tiring and dropped his mouth piece out to get a break and catch his wind.

Osseo, MN's "Golden" Caleb Truax moved to 5-0, 3 KO's with a convincing unainmous decision victory over tough as nails Jeffrey Osborne (4-10, 2 KO's) of Iowa. Truax defeated Osborne last November at Myth in a fight some observers felt was a 4 round draw.
Truax left nothing up to debate this time as he rocked Osborne with hard shots to the head and body. Truax put Osborne down hard near the end of round two with a right to the head. Osborne stormed back when he made it to his feet but the bell sounded, halting his comeback attempt.
Truax landed a thudding over hand right just as round three began that sent Osborne sagging to the floor once again. Bleeding from the nose, the Davenport native looked like a beaten fighter. Osborne battled back however and landed a hard left to the head of Truax at the end of the round
Truax also started to look tired inside the fifth round as the fast pace was taking it's toll on both men. Truax was also cut under the left eye.
Both fighters continued to pour it on in the sixth round. Truax began to take over again as the bout was coming to a close. Truax leveled 3 unanswered rights to the jaw of Osborne as the bout closed, putting Osborne out on his feet but smiling all the while.

Scores read 60-52, 60-54, 60-52 for Truax.

Corey Rodriguez of Minneapolis (3-0, 3 KO's) made an impressive MN debut by stopping South Dakotan Cheyenne Ziegler (2-2, 2 KO's) at 1:37 of the 1st round.
Rodriguez began the bout boxing and quickly unleashed a hard upper cut that sent Ziegler down very early. Ziegler showed his toughness by rushing Rodriquez which in the end was probably not the best choice.
Rodriquez remained calm and let loose a crushing counter left hook that send Ziegler face first to the floor where he was counted out.

Wilshaun Boxley of Minneapolis, MN moved to 3-0, 2 KO's with a 3rd round knockout of Nick Arellano (1-3) of Chicago, IL.
Arellano marched forward throwing most of the punches in the first round although most of his shots were landing on the guard of Boxley.
Boxley opened up more in round two, particularly with body shots. But there was still a feeling he may have been holding back still.
Boxley was half smiling as round three started, hinting at something to come. Boxley unleashed a huge counter left hook to the head that sent Arellano to his knees. Boxley continued to break out of his shell as he dropped Arellano shortly after with a right hand to the head. Arellano bravely rose but Bobby Brunette was there to waive the fight off at 2:58 of the third round.

BJ Lacey (12-7) of Saint Paul, MN stopped "The Sandman" Joey Clark (20-5-2) of Saint Paul in the main event MMA bout by ground and pound strikes at 3:02 of the 2nd round. Clark had Lacey on the verge of taping out in the first round but "The Beast" held on strong until the end of the round. Lacey took control in the second, raining down strikes from the full mount position. Referee Sean Hickman jumped in and stopped the fight as Clark was taking too much and not responding. After the bout Clark announced his retirement.

Marcus Levesseur (11-1) defeated Bryant Clark (3-3) by arm bar submission at 3:47 of the 1st. Clark came out aggressively but Levesseur stayed calm, eventually taking his opponent to the floor where Clark had no answer. Levesseur applyed an arm bar forcing Clark to tap out.
