Unbeaten middleweight Fernando Guerrero (17-0, 14 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Jesse Nicklow (19-2-2, 7 KOs) on Friday night at the Grand Casino Hinckley in Hinckley, Minnesota. Guerrero dropped Nicklow with a right hook early in the fourth. Nicklow fought back gamely, but Guerrero’s attack was too strong and referee Mark Nelson waved the fight off at 2:09.
Nicklow began the bout targeting Guerrero's body and using lateral movement to work his way inside Guerrero's southpaw stance. Nicklow kept a tight guard and the strategy of moving in and out worked in the early going as Guerrero was left waiting for an opening.
After a cautious first round, Guerrero began to up the pressure, stalk, and land hard punches thereafter. While both fighters chose to stand and trade, Guerrero was landing the more precise power punches that began to slow and stagger Nicklow. Nicklow fought back bravely but seemed to have trouble matching Guerrero's power.
A bullet like straight right hand dropped Nicklow midway through round four. Nicklow was able to beat the count but was staggered once again moments later by a left-right to the head where Nelson stopped the fight. Guerrero kept his NABO middleweight title with the win while earning local bragging rights over his fellow Maryland rival Nicklow.

In a clash of unbeaten jr middleweights, Shawn “Showtime” Porter (12-0, 10 KOs) was impressive again as he stopped Jamar “Young Prince” Patterson (8-1, 4 KOs) in round four. Porter dropped Patterson with a big left hook in round four and referee Celestino Ruiz stopped the fight during Porter’s follow-up attack. Time was 1:54.
Patterson looked lost in the opening rounds as Porter sprayed two fisted punches to the head and body. Porter remained quicker on the trigger even as Patterson began to counter with single punches in round two. The more Patterson tried to fight, the more he was hit by the flashy punches from Porter. A leaping left to the head dropped Patterson hard in round four. Porter followed up with two staggering lefts to the head of Patterson along the ropes where the fight was waived off.

Lanard Lane (10-0, 7 KOs) scored an impressive second round TKO over Said “The Messenger” El Harrack (8-1, 3 KOs) in the opening television bout. Lane dropped El Harrack twice in round one, and after Lane rocked El Harrack again in round two, referee Mark Nelson waved it off at 1:38.
Lane came out guns blazing, catching El Harrack cold with a left-right-left to the head followed by a left that sent El Harrack rocked to the canvas. Harrack was dropped again shortly after by a right hand to the head but was able to survive the round despite taking more punishment after getting to his feet.
Two nice rights to the head of Lane showed El Harrack had regained his senses as round two began. Lane however echoed the boxing hall with two thudding rights of his own in response. Lane continued to pummel El Harrack with unanswered punches. Harrack was taking the shots better then the prior round but the punches were too many and referee Mark Nelson jumped between the fighters to end the fight. El Harrack folded on the canvas upset with the stoppage.

In off tv action, 23 year old Cerresso Fort (9-0, 8 KOs) dropped Mike Davis (4-7, 4 KOs) twice on his way to a round two knockout win.
Neither Fort nor Davis showed fear as they looked to land big shots. Fort struck first, landing a straight right to the head that put Davis down to his knees.
Davis smiled and waived Fort in during round two as he took the punches Fort was dishing out. Fort dropped Davis again later in the second with a right-left to the head in his own corner where referee Mark Nelson stopped the bout at 2:46.

Highly regarded and late addition to the card Gary Russell Jr. (6-0, 3 KOs) stopped Rodrigo Romero (1-3) in round three. Russell pot-shotted Romero for three rounds before laying him out with a left-right at :38 of the third round.

Javontae Starks (2-0, 2 KOs) dismantled Mike Culbert (1-1) at 1:22 of the first round. A right, left the quick right uppercut combo to the head surprised Culbert early knocking him to the canvas. A brutal follow up left hook to the jaw put Culbert down again in his own corner as his team tossed in the towel to end the fight.

Kelvin Price (6-0, 5 KOs) over came an early knockdown to win a unanimous decision over Julius Long (15-14, 13 KOs) in a battle of towering heavyweights. Long landed two lefts to the head followed by a deceptive push in round two that put Price to his knees. Long began to rain down clubbing King Kong like overhand punches shortly after Price got to his feet that scored for the 7'1 Long. Price however began to take over after a shaky start as Long began to breath heavily and fade. Price left a tiring Long draped over the ropes on numerous occasions due to head punches and exhaustion. In the end, judges saw it unanimously for Price by scores of 59-55, and 58-56 twice.

Jeremy McLaurin (6-0 4 KOs) remained unbeaten with a four round unanimous decision over Darryl Hayes (3-1, 1 KO). Hayes was warned numerous times and eventually lost a point in round three for continually hitting behind the head and off the break during the fight. McLaurin remained the busier, sharper puncher of the two although both fighters had their moments. Scores read 40-36, 39-36, 38-37 for McLaurin.

Derek Winston (2-0) won a unanimous decision over Taide Torres (0-2) in the opening bout. Winston outboxed the brawler Torres over four rounds of action. Scores read 39-38, 39-37, 39-37.
