Ronnie Peterson Jr (3-0) of Coon Rapids, Mn will be traveling to Minot, ND this Saturday, Oct. 3rd to face Tomi Archambault (0-1) in a four round bout. Archambault should prove to be Peterson's toughest test as he brings solid amateur credentials to the table.
"I will be ready, period" said Peterson when asked about the fight. "I have changed a lot of my game to fit my power and speed. He is by far the best fighter that I will have faced. He has fought Brad (Patraw) (Willshaun) Boxley and CJ Butler who were all good amateurs but I feel at 122 pounds, I am the quickest and hardest puncher here period."

Peterson says that he is ready for Archambault but revealed that If all goes well, it looks like he will be facing the winner of the Brad Patraw-Antwan Robertson title showdown in December at the Target Center. Patraw and Robertson have their sights first set on Oct. 23rd when they are scheduled to meet. Patraw then has a fight date in Hinckley on the Phil Williams-Matt Vanda undercard on Nov. 13th against an opponent TBA. Both Peterson and Patraw confirmed the verbal agreement to fight each other pending the outcomes of those fights.
"We asked there camp (Patraw) 2 or 3 times and they never replied but I'm sure they had reasons. But yea its gonna happen if all goes well for Brad in his next couple fights. It will be 8 rounds for the State title if he beats Antwan. I noticed you also wrote bantamweight banger (describing Robertson and Patraw in a previous story). We will see about that after he officially signs for the fight! Then I will tell you what im gonna do (laughing)."

With the above mentioned fighters along with sharp punching Ismail Muwendo all with similar records trying to earn the top vacant spot at bantam/super bantamweight, Peterson says he is ready to face them all.
"With Willshaun losing in Philly, I am putting a bold statement out claiming I am numero uno. I want to make the best out of my career and I am ready to go above and beyond to help make Minnesota be seen more frequently on a national level. I am ready for whoever, whenever, however" Peterson exclaimed. " 122 is the target weight and if you really want to fight, let's do it. I am in no way talking down to any Minnesota fighter. It takes a lot of balls to step in the ring but we need the best to fight the best so we can see the stars and potential we have in Minnesota."

Also in action on the card is "The Principal" Ben Lane (5-1-1). Lane will box Mike Walter (3-0) in a six rd main event. Ryan Soft versus Saverino Garcia and Nick Runningbear-Yancy Cuellar are the other bouts rounding out the card.
