Matt "The Predator" Vanda (37-6 21 KO's), returns to his roots on Saturday night as he faces Illinois tough guy Bruce "The Rage" Rumboltz (21-16, 15 KO's) at The Armory in St. Paul. Vanda made the Armory his second home in the early 2000's, packing East Saint Paul fans wall to wall to see his fights.
Recently Vanda has been taking on all comers. Although Vanda has come up short in his marque fights as of late, he has gained the respect of fighters and fans alike with his gritty performances and exciting come-at-you style versus good opponents. Remaining competitive in each one of those decision losses.
Last time out, Vanda traveled to Canada where he lost a unanimous decision to IBF International champion Sebastian Demers. Demers used his reach and jab to sweep most of the rounds on the scorecards but reports across the board say both fighters drew cheers from fans in attendance for the action that took place in the ring.

"I am not happy with the outcome of the fight" said Vanda. " Considering the circumstances though I did the best I could. I'm a warrior though. I'm always in the fight. I couldn't throw my right hand but kept coming forward. I'll never quit."
Rumors circulated before the bout that Vanda had hurt his right hand preparing for Demers.

Now Vanda is set to return to his backyard, the Saint Paul Armory, against a veteran of 14 years to try to get his career record back on track.

"I'm looking forward to kicking the shit out of this guy. I'm going to come right after this dude and make him handle The Predator. Then, I want a rematch with Kost. I want the rematch with Kolle that his team promised me after the fight. And I want a rematch with Bonsante. I don't give a fuck where, when or for how much. I'll fight anybody. Its time for some of these guys to give me the opportunity I gave them. The Predator is back in St. Paul, pissed off, and only getting better!"
