TEAM MUWENDO PRESS RELEASE: Ismail "Sharp Shooter" Muwendo returns home after a successful road trip to Nebraska in April, in which he won the ABO Mid-America Featherweight Title (6th round stoppage). Its been over a year-and-a-half since the "Sharp Shooters" last performed in front of his adopted home crowd of the Twin Cities, as such, he will do so at the St. Paul Crowne Plaza (11 East Kellogg Blvd., St Paul) on Saturday, August 25th @ 7pm. Ismail will be matched with the man known as the "Gate Keeper" within the boxing community, Robert "Don't Luz" Da Luz of Jacksonville, Florida. Everyone within the boxing community knows that Da Luz is the guy you must get through if you're going to progress into the upper tiers of boxing. Da Luz will be another step-up in class, as Ismail continues to pursue his national rankings in pursuit of a World Title. This is not Da Luz's first trip to Minnesota! Last time Da Luz made the trip from Jacksonville, Florida to Minnesota it was to test the up-and-comer, Allan "American Boy" Litzau at the Minneapolis Target Center. As such, the night ended with a devastating KNOCKING-OUT victory for Da Luz against "The American Boy" in the fourth round. Thus, Da Luz has the same plan as before; it's up to Ismail's talent to pass the test. Ismail is more than willing to take the dangerous test, and looks forward to proudly representing his fans. Allan "The Amarican Boy" Litzau Vs. Robert "Don't Luz" Da Luz (KO in the 9:40 area): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGMQhVcHZfs This card will also feature Ismail's Ugandan Nation Boxing Team member Philip "The Hunter" Adyaka. "The Hunter" will be matched against U.S. Amateur Boxing Star, Jonathan Perez, as Perez tries to add Adyaka to his 2-0 undefeated record. Adyaka has other plans, as Adyaka comes of a spectacular 4th round KNOCK-OUT win in April; Philip knows the importance of this fight and is focused on ending Perez's undefeated run. This is the first boxing promotion for Driller Promotions,
as such, they look to impress the market by putting on a full night
of competitive fights. The goal is to have a minimum of (8) and up to
(10) fights on the card; what does that mean...that's non-stop action
for all boxing fans in attendance!! Below are ticket Prices: Ismail Muwendo (9-0) Vs. Robert DaLuz (13-42) Co-Main Event: Welterweights (6rds) Jamal James (6--0) Vs.
