Cerresso Fort (second from left) and trainer (Floyd Mayweather Sr. far right)

Cerresso Fort vs. Dave Peterson fight week has arrived. It's not often that Mn fans get to see two undefeated and established fighters square off but that is what's going down in this Saturday nights main event at the Black Bear Casino in Carlton, MN. Saint Paul's Cerresso Fort is currently putting the finishing touches on training camp in preparation for the showdown. And he is doing it in Las Vegas under the experienced eye of Floyd Mayweather Sr.
Fort informed MinnesotaBoxing.com last week that he had run into the three time trainer of the year Mayweather Sr. while on a trip to down south to an amateur tournament with a few of his fighters and business partner Dalton Outlaw.

"It was not something that was planned" said Fort about how they teamed up. "We ran into each other by chance and got to talking. I didn't have a trainer so it was perfect."

Fort says he has been running the mountains in Vegas and training around guys like Amir Khan and Adrian Broner. The work has made Fort more confident then ever as the fight date with Dave Peterson approaches.

" He's (Peterson) undefeated for a reason" said Fort when asked to share what he knows about Peterson. " But I think that also shows what I am about. I have faced opposition that has pushed me, but has he? Nobody knows much about him. He's undefeated but nobody has seen his chin tested. But I promise you I will test it. I believe I am faster, stronger, and better then him in every way. All the pressure is on me because people know what I am about in the ring. It's just another fight to prove my doubters wrong."
