Bout 1 100 lbs
Gabe Lindberg, Blue gloves, St. Cloud vs. Justice Love, Red gloves West Side Boxing, Edina

Love shows body language that indicates he feels confident and ready to box all night. When the bell for round one starts, Love delivers on his promise by throwing quick combos and body shots backing Lindberg to each concerns of the ropes to protect himself. Lindberg shows he can't deal with Love's speed, and after taking a pounding in his corner, Referee Butch Anderson gives Lindberg an eight count. The bout continues and Love goes on the attack landing body punches and head shots which force Anderson to give Lindberg another eight count. After the count, Love is all over Lindberg throwing combos to end round one.

By round two, this bout is over as Love runs out from his corner and gives Lindberg another pounding from rope to rope. Love wants the KO so badly, he throws a punch which misses and he slips and hits the canvas. After Love gets up, he continues to beat on the hometown favorite, Lindberg until Anderson sees enough and ends this nightmare for Lindberg.
End result: Love wins 2nd round.

Bout 2 110 lbs
Andrew Lindberg, blue gloves, St. Cloud, vs. Hardwell Ismail red gloves, White Bear Lake

Knowing he just came off a big lost last weekend, Andrew is looking to give a better showing against Ismail; Lindberg starts strong throwing punches and is trying to keep the bout in the center of the ring by using his reach advantaged. But Ismail is too faster and this would be the difference in the bout as Lindberg was forced to hold and re-adjust most of the night.

Before start of round two, Ismail is so confident; he puts both hands on his hip taunting Lindberg. Ismail starts strong landing several punches once again backing Lindberg to the ropes; but a determined Lindberg fires back but reverts to his familiar pattern of clinching when Ismail puts the pressure on. Referee Butch Anderson sees enough of Lindberg's holding, and Anderson takes a point from Lindberg, a brave move by Anderson since the bout took place on Lindberg's home turf.

By round three, it's clear the bout is over from a mental standpoint as Ismail is too much for the game Lindberg who did redeem himself compared to his first round knockout defeat last weekend.
End result: Ismail wins a decision

Bout 3 130 lbs
Andrew Hyser, blue gloves, St. Cloud vs. Hoshang Ismail, red gloves White Bear Lake

Ismail is a boxer who doesn't miss a beat while in the ring as evident by his correcting the announcer's miss-pronouncement of his first name. Ismail is one of few the boxers who can play to fans. In fact, before the bout, Ismail tells his coach he wanted to make a shotgun motion towards Hyser after his name is introduced, but to his coach's credit, he won't allow it to happen. Hyser looks all business as the introductions are being announced, and as round one starts, Ismail throws 1-2 head shots while circling as Hyser applies aggression. As the round wears on, it's clear Ismail's speed and power will be the difference this round as Ismail forces Hyser into Hyser's own corner and lands a hard right. Hyser will not give up and throws a wild punch but it misses badly as Ismail makes Hyser pay with a body and head assault. Ismail follows up with a hard right to the head which causes Referee Anderson to yell "Stop!" and Anderson gives Hyser an eight count. After the count, Ismail is all over Hyser throwing caution to the wind and gets a warring from Anderson to keep his punches up. Ismail doesn't seem bothered by the warning, and jumps on Hyser and lands a hard body and head shot forcing Hyser to cover up with no intentions of firing back. At this point, Anderson yells "Stop!" again and starts the count but has seen enough and stops this one-sided match.
End result: Ismail wins by referee stoppage in round one

Bout 4 145 lbs
Jacque Davis blue gloves, Uppercut Gym, vs. Bobby Butters, red gloves White Bear Lake

Both boxers start the round at a measured pace. Davis throws the first jab but is countered with a hard right from Butters. Butters circle as Davis is now the aggressor landing body and head shots. Butters isn't passive, and he throws good head shots of his own as he looks to time Davis with a good punch. Both boxers show good skills while taking turns being the aggressor to end a close round one.

In round two, Davis comes out jabbing and both boxers pick up the pace by trading shots. But it's Davis who lands a hard right that puts Butters on the seat of his pants. As Butters was on the canvas, Davis engages in unsportsmanlike like behavior by taunting him while he's down. Butters makes the eight count and comes out firing landing good rights and lefts, as Davis makes the mistake of leaning his body back in a defensive mode trying to get away from Butters' punches instead of attacking. Davis lands a good body shot to end the round, but the looks on his corners' faces says it all as they are confused why Davis didn't jump on Butters to get an RSC

Round three Davis starts by landing good jabs and an over right hand and now Davis is in the center of the ring and shows body language that looks very confident. Butters lands a nice right and Davis comes back with his own 1-2 body shots. Seconds before the round ends, Davis lands a huge right that buckles the knees of Butters and sends him to the far ropes, and this time, Davis follows up with another right as Anderson jumps in and gives Butters an eight count. Butters is clearly hurt but the bell to end round three sounds.
End result: Davis wins decision.

Bout 5 115 lbs Rematch from last week
Alex Marcial blue gloves, AIC vs. Dustin Mason red gloves, White Bear Lake

Mason throws several jabs, but both boxers decide early to dispense with skills and brawl. They exchange in give and take action, and both are the aggressor at times. Marcial lands a good right that makes the statement he plans to be competitive throughout the whole bout. But Mason, with his Ricky Hatton style of boxing, continues to bounce and move and jump in and throw punches abut Marcial counters with his own shots to end a close round one.

Round two both boxers start off jabbing and Marcial lands a good right. Mason is circling trying to find the perfect shot. Both boxers land good body work, and now Mason is landing hard rights and using boxing skills to take a close round two.

By round three, the bout is close and both boxers know this as they let it all hangout throwing hard shots going toe-to-toe. Marcial gives Mason several faints looking to land the punch that will put Mason on his back, but Mason won't bite and circles landing 1-2 combos. At this point, Marcial follows Mason but isn't landing much. Mason's right is starting to land first as Marcial's punches are getting sloppier. Mason lands the better shots to end round three.
End result: Mason wins decision

Bout 6 170 lbs
Vitali Kniazkov, blue gloves, St. Cloud vs. Justin Griffin, red gloves White Bear Lake

Griffin comes out jabbing and moving and it's clear the lanky Kniazkov is too slow for Griffin. Griffin starts to dominate by landing hard rights on the ropes and in the center of the ring. Kniazkov is rocked by a Griffin right, and Griffin follows up with 1-2 shots as Kniazkov stands straight up. Griffin lands a hug right and a hard body shot which forces Referee Anderson to jump in and give Kniazkov an eight count. The bout continues, and Griffin lands another right and jab to end round one.

By Round two, the question bigger is does it make sense for Kniazkov's corner to send him out for another two rounds? Griffin's speed and power is too much for Kniazkov, and at this point, it looks as if Griffin can end the bout at anytime as he jabs and throws hard rightsat will. Griffin is now beating Kniazkov from rope to rope, and lands a thunderous right to the head and body of Kniazkov just as the bell sounds causing Anderson to give Kniazkov another eight count.

In round three, Kniazkov tries to throw punches but they are all arm shots. Griffin lands another right which causes Anderson to give Kniazkov a count. At this point, the owner of the Gym, Scott Kelm has seen enough and throws in the towel as Anderson's count reaches five.
End result: Griffin wins referee stops contest at request of corner.

"The Main Event"
160 lbs
Nate Peterson, blue gloves St. Cloud vs. Deondre Smith, red gloves Uppercut gym

Smith starts round one strong by landing jabs and rights; he's giving Peterson angles and is too fast for him. Smith throws body and head shots but Peterson tries to land but is countered with quick shots. The expression on Peterson's face says it all as he knows Smith is too fast for him as round one ends. In between rounds, Peterson, discouraged, uses profanity and doesn't appear to be paying attention to the advice of his coaches.

Round two is no different as Peterson comes out throwing but Smith can see every punch and has no problems ducking or getting out of the way. Smith's in a grove and continues to land jabs and rights and Peterson knows Smith is in "the zone" because when the two clinch,
Peterson yells another profanity out of anger.

By round three, the judges' cards seem academic because Smith if he doesn't get KO'd, is the clear winner. Smith continues to land good head and body shots as Peterson's corner yells "You got 45 seconds give me something" but Peterson knows he has nothing to give tonight as the round ends.
End result: Smith wins decision
